Thank God for ants

So, this is not so easy on the weekends. I spent most of Saturday worrying about the mobile vet that was coming to trim Dewey's nails and give him a little check up. I had to get out of the house so I took a drive to Checkers. When I pulled up my strange neighbor congratulated me on picking up some "health food." Ass.

We went to a party last night and I asked Ron to stop at Krispy Kreme so I could get some mini doughnuts to take. I waited in line forever because the "Hot Now" sign had just come on. I decided to get us a dozen as well. I only had two last night but I was ready to get the butter ready this morning. When I opened the box there were ants...thank God.

It's easier for me to be good during the week. I'll weigh tomorrow but I'm not feeling too good about it.

Day 2

Success again.....only 2 cokes today! I will not be exercising this evening since I'm so sore from my little work out last night and I only got about 3 hours of sleep. The possible sleep apnea and other sleep issues will hopefully be identified when I spend the night at the sleep center in a couple of weeks. I hope eventually to have lots more energy so I can exercise more effectively.

I feel skinnier even though I still weighed 160 this morning. Just wishful thinking I guess.

Anyway, I have decided that on March 1st that I will post a shirtless pic of myself. That should keep me motivated for the next month and a half for sure. It'll probably scare all of you away but this is about me, right?

Biggest Loser tonight....always gets me motivated!

Oh Jesus!

Day one is almost over and overall I've done well. I limited myself to two Coca Cola's and did not eat Arby's or even stroll near the establishment. I swear I smelled potato cakes all day though.

I guess the biggest surprise is that I actually did my Wii Personal Coach Training. I did 15 minutes of cardio and I'll admit I am horribly out of shape. Lets put it this way....if I was a contestant on The Biggest Loser I would already be asking to send my ass back home. Sore will be my middle name tomorrow.

I'm excited that I have passed through day one successfully. Word.

Planning the week

Height-6 feet
Weight-160 lbs
waist-32 inches

Ummm, sounds normal based on my height but I assure you it is not the right weight for my body type. I have fat face. Sick. 1st goal is to start Wii Fitness Coach Monday after work.

My 2nd goal for this first week of getting my body back is to eat no fast food. I'm not even really a big day time eater but I have found myself at Arby's almost every day because it is right beside my office. Fresh and squishy warm Beef 'N Cheddar's were my friends but now I hate the little bastards! And butter fried Krispy Kreme are off the menu as well.

Third goal is to limit my coke consumption to 2 a day. That's a huge cut back for me so we'll see how it works out.

Why I'm here....

Looks like my senior highschool class will be holding it's 25 year class reunion this summer. Of course I'm excited to see the old gang but it has also reminded me of the fact that I'm no spring chicken. 25 years.....damn! I can still remember going to the dirt road with all my friends, senior trip and all the other great memories like it was yesterday. Of course my gray hairs and little old man pot belly remind me that it was a really long time ago.

After discussing the reunion with my friend and classmate, Sonya, we decided this would be a great opportunity to get ourselves in shape. So..... the journey begins.
